Our Economic Development Department is led by Joe Griffin and Al Minner.

The mission of the Economic Development Department is to assist any individual or company who wishes to consider relocation or establishment of a business in Sebastian. The Department can supply you with any information you might require and will lead you through the Growth Management and Building Department permit process.
We can provide you with lists of local engineers and architects to help you with building design and permit process.
Information on City, County and State tax abatements/incentives is available together with information on how to apply. The Department can also assist in finding grants or incentives that may assist in your business needs through United States Department of Agriculture – Rural Services (USDA – RUS), Enterprise Florida Programs, Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and/or the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
The Department has complete documentation on City owned land, most of which is located around the Sebastian Municipal Airport. We can also direct you to local commercial facilities and real estate representatives who can show you their availabilities.
By a super majority vote, the community of Sebastian have voted to support business development and the Sebastian City Council is proud to announce its new economic development tax incentives.
